Parents and community members are needed to help as assistants during classes and ticket takers, ushers, backstage help, production preparation, etc. for performances. There are activities available for everyone to use their talents.
Community involvement through financial support provides satisfaction of giving dancers exciting educational opportunities and experiences. Resources invested in ALOFD also make available financial assistance to students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy the study of dance.
Benefits of Supporting A Leap of Faith Dance
ALOFD's programs benefit the community by exposing them to outstanding family entertainment through quality performances at the local auditoriums and free performances at Marillac Manor, the Autism Walk, Toys for Tots Family Fun Expo, Live Art in Motion and the Artists Celebrating Christ art show. With plans to continue performances at such venues, the community experiences involved young people with wholesome family values. ALOFD guides young people to be better citizens through discipline, increased self-esteem, and respect for authority figures.
Participating artists gain experience working with children as they hone their creative problem-solving abilities. Producing works for performances helps foster creativity and includes other persons in related performing arts such as light and sound technicians, set and costume designers, hair and makeup artists, etc.
ALOFD benefits with increased participation in its programs and then can expand and offer more to its students and the community. Educating students and audiences of the importance of the arts is our purpose.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation engaged in providing quality dance and related performing arts instruction.
