Rehearsal Policy
All rehearsals for performances are mandatory in order that students know their spacing and have had the opportunity to rehearse with all dancers present in any given number at any place. Students playing sports should take note of tentative performance dates and speak with their coaches about possible conflicts or absences. Ideally, every dancer should be present at every rehearsal; we do realize family emergencies or serious commitment conflicts sometimes occur. Please contact the director with any concerns about possible conflicts at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled rehearsal. In the case of family emergencies, please contact the director at your earliest convenience.
Please bring quiet things to do during down time. We recommend that the dancers stay and watch the other dancers. KinderDance students may leave after their part is done. This is a good time to take pictures and videos. Flash photography is not allowed during the Recital. Video will be allowed from the back or sides of the room. Please come early and be prepared to change into costumes and makeup. If you need help with buns, come early and bring hair nets, hair pins, etc. Bring everything you need: light pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes, leotards (as needed), makeup, hair pins, hair spray, etc. Costumes will be here except those that you are asked to bring. Do not come wearing costumes unless you are covered up! Help is needed to set up and take down. If you are staying to watch the rehearsal, please consider helping set up. Back stage help is also needed. Invitations are available to hand out, ask for some.
